JP Circles is social networking system within JP Morgan Chase & Co Intranet system to increase efficiency and trust in company communication by connecting employees on a social and corporate level. The application allows employees to form groups based on interests and work relations, acting as a hub for communication from across office to cross continent. Communication channels include alumni, contract/freelancers, employees and management.

Activities include checking group updates, meetings, calendars, and forums, searching for groups, adding new groups, and inviting other employees to join groups. The groups also provide a list of all group members and a link to their phonebook page as well as a visualization of the internal relationship of the group members to each other. The JPCircles application is integrated with existing JPMorgan technologies.
For example, a JPCircles news feed widget lives on the employee's JPMorgan intranet homepage to provide daily reminders and serve as an access point to the JPCircles homepage. The application also encourages use of the JPMorgan phonebook. All contact information used in the application is provided by the phonebook and all member profiles link the user directly to phonebook profiles.
The project was completed in Parsons collaboration studio tagged with JP Morgan Chase & Co. Two teams, design and development and information analysis, worked together to have the final prototype to present to the client. I was on design and development team working on interaction design of the system, and visual presentation for the final prototype.
